Saudi Oil Giant Aramco And Japan
Now I know you heard about the news of An Investment of $14 million investment of Saudi in Japan. The investment firm Aramco- the largest oil company in the world had invested in Terra Drone Corporation Of Japan. It is from a topmost drone and UAM tech provider company.
What is this happening?
This is happening under vision 2030 of Saudi Arabia. Now the Japanese company will produce a new helping unit of the company to carry out drone surveys, Unmanned Traffic Management in Saudi Arabia.
Now the question arises, what is this Vision 2030?
This vision is based on a strategic framework by which the country is wising to reduce its dependence on oil. Developing public services and diversifying of economy, are some major centers of this ‘Vision 2030’.
So, this move to move forward with Japan is one of the strategic decisions of the Saudi government. Saudi wants to focus on increasing the use of drones for inspection, especially for small but numerous operations in the region.
Saudi is looking for unique ways to shift its dependence from oil to some other services after some increases in the prices recently due to the pandemic and some increases in oil demand due to the biggest importer of oil – China. But Saudi is increasing its ties with Japan, and other countries as well, and we are noticing its presence in the world of sports. They are trying their best to project themselves as a democratic nation with a good environment in the Gulf.
It is strange though that Saudis always tried to invest or attract investment in those countries since 1970 so that they can influence Islam. Saudi is using its resources wisely and is signaling a change in the world. As he faces bad times in COVID-19 as the oil market hit a low, and COP meetings that are advocating for reducing carbon emissions, it is safe to make a timely change.
