Arabs around 84% of oppose their country's diplomatic recognition of Israel
Arab Opinion Index released the 2022 report and the results said that an average of 84% of Arabs did not want the diplomatic recognition of Israel by their country.
An affiliate of the ACRPS The Arab Center Washington DC released some preliminary results of the Arab Opinion Index.
Arab Opinion Index surveyed more than a dozen of countries in Arab. Mauritania, Algeria, the Palestinian Territories, Libya, Jordan, Tunisia, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, Libya, and Saudi Arabia are where this survey happened. Many interest-based questions are asked for preparing the results of this survey.
The question which was asked to the people to make the report was- Would you support or oppose diplomatic recognition of Israel by your country? And with the majority of 84%, the people said a big NO! And around 8% of the people said yes they want support for Israel and the rest were unsure.
The best friend of Israel –Morocco. The people with majority of 67% said yes their country should support the diplomatic recognition of Israel on the other hand IN the survey in Algeria 99% of the Algerian people showed views against it. They denied support for diplomats in Israel by their country. Palestinian reactionaries of whom 3% supported diplomatic recognition of Israel.
The point to be noted here is that the Arab Opinion Index is conducting a survey from 2011 and asking the same question. The result will also be the almost same every year with just a little high or low.
What is the reason for it? The cause of Palestinians is a factor, probably this is related to issues of Arabs. In the more than a decade, since the AOI survey was conducted, there has been little change in Arab thinking and results, especially concerning Israel.
In simple words, the world of Arabs still does not see Israel as a good companion. But the Abraham Accords is an opportunity for Israel to gain positive views from Arabs. It is clear the Arabs are not liking Isreal, he should think about it!
