Elon Musk finally hugs YouTuber who waited outside Twitter HQ for months
Twitter's new CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Elon Musk,
finally hugged YouTuber Fidias Panayiotou, who waited outside the Twitter
headquarters in San Francisco for months.
The YouTuber posted a picture with the SpaceX and Tesla
founder on his Twitter account on National Hugging Day, observed on January 21.
He wrote on Twitter, "We are definitely living in a simulation Elon Musk!
Happy National Hugging Day everyone."
He waited outside the Twitter headquarters for about three
months. He used to wear a Twitter bluebird costume, holding a signboard that
read: “hug me Elon”.
He was on the verge of giving up his mission to hug Musk.
However, the YouTuber came across a video of two children requesting Musk to
hug him taken during the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. In the viral video, the child
was heard saying, “He wants to hug you.” Musk responded, "I know... so
what? What should I do about that? Do you want me to hug this guy?" The
two kids shouted, “yes.” Subsequently, Musk said that he would hug Fidias if
the kids wanted him to hug the famous YouTuber.
Responding to the YouTuber’s tweet, a Twitter user wrote,
"You should thank that kid in the Qatar World Cup finale, he did a good
job convincing Elon Musk to meet you! Finally." Musk also responded to the
tweet and said, “True.”
Another user wrote on Twitter, “Fidias get coconut head, a
determination is an understatement.” Another Twitter user said, “Wow. You are
the definition of determination.”
Earlier, Musk also wrote about the situation on Twitter. He
said, “The kids I talked to just had one request, which was to hug this guy who
keeps trying to hug me in San Francisco. I checked to see if they were sure
about that and they were, so I will (hug him)."
