Poland Strike Shows Threat Of "Putin's War"
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said a deadly missile strike in Poland highlighted the inherent danger presented by Russia's war, but he did not identify the projectile's launcher.
Sunak said this following the G20 conference in Bali, Indonesia "None of this would be taking place if Russia hadn't invaded Ukraine. The brutal and unyielding reality of Putin's battle is as described above."
Faced with the possibility that the conflict had spread past Ukraine's boundaries and into NATO territory, Sunak claimed that if it weren't for Russia's missile onslaught on Ukraine, the two fatalities from the as-yet-unattributed strike would not have occurred.
"It continues to endanger both our security and the security of our partners. And as long as it persists, the world economy will continue to collapse" said he.
Sunak also blamed the conflict in Ukraine for his nation's economic stagnation and inflation of more than 11%. Nobody in the globe has been immune to the effects of Putin's war, he claimed.
According to US Vice President Joe Biden, it is unlikely that the missile was launched from Russian soil, raising the possibility that it was either an interceptor strike gone wrong or an unintentional Ukrainian launch.
