On the Rise of Anti-Semitism, One Year After Colleyville

The French President promised a  reform of Franco-African relations. But having a misunderstanding in mind and using the necessary methods meant a complete failure of his promise.

Promises sounded great but fall apart in the landscape of France-Africa Relations. In the first term of Emmanuel Macron's Presidency, they promised to work on France-African relations. He had to be content with very traditional relations with his allies and was reluctant to distance himself. So, it's just as wrong about the stakes as it is about the method.

President Macron finds it difficult because the situation is difficult, France no longer has the means to satisfy its ambitions. It should be within the traditional sphere of influence.

In early 2023, Franconia, Mali, and Burkina-Faso sent the French ambassador back home, an attack on Macron. Because these countries were like a part of France. But when I ask you what is the reason for these antics or what is the distance from France? Eyes set on planning setbacks for French diplomacy in Africa?

Days ago, two prominent French ministers traveled to Rabat and Algiers to restore normal consular relations after a year of disputes. The crisis began with France's decision to curtail visas granted to Maghrebis. The intention was to withdraw its citizens from France. But it was withdrawn without taking anything back.

The plan was unplanned or worse, the plan was supposed to target the naming of the countries concerned. But it faced a failure. The happening showed that such a decision is of no means! It is absurd to think that Algerian leaders can be pressured by the name of visas.

Macron's promise: optimistic

But it is worth noting that before the setbacks and failures, the presidential candidate Macron made optimistic promises. He showed that African youth can be moved to a great future, and illegality or migration can be avoided by creating a new connection bridge to Frankfurt. A shared future for both sides of the Mediterranean, he added.

Investing in Africa was essential before any major change could be envisioned in Africa. Macron emphasized this by establishing a direct dialogue with these societies, their youth, their public opinion, their elite, and many others.

The steps scattered the way. Macon faced criticism many times but he never took his step back.

When asked about visas, Macron responded to emigration and said that it was more important for him to think about building his future in his country than thinking about deportation. Macon repeated the same dialogue in Ghana. He said Europeans have a policy of collaboration that a young African European can tell himself instead of dreaming of El Dorado that he is going to be successful in his country.

Though Macron’s speech and thoughts of Macron were daring. But they have no way or support to do so. That's why there is a difference between words and deeds.

But the question is, are they interested in living under the supposed protection of France?

Notably, apart from a fake discourse on democracy and human rights, France, including Macron, does not hesitate to deal with those who do not meet democratic norms.

The branding of a virtual Russian phobia cannot hide the real legacy of the past, which is why Macron has failed. Because Africa is not ready to take any chance of France’s attack or keen wishes on their democratic region!
