In 2023, Europe, and the Middle East to reach pre-pandemic tourism levels

When any world dreams about a world tour, Italy, France, Switzerland, Dubai, etc is a mutual part of the dreams. Simply Europe and Middle Eastern countries are the favorite destinations to travel to, but during the time of the Pandemic, tourism slipped down now some positive signals are coming for this region in 2023. According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization Europe and the Middle East are on their way to reaching their pre-pandemic stage for the field of tourism. The prediction comes after an expected recovery in the global tourism economy.

This prediction is based on data from tourists who reached these destinations in the previous post, in 2022 around 900 million tourists reach there which is double from the year 2021 and around 63% of 2019. Of this, it is clear that tourism is starting to develop again now. And as per the prediction in 2023, this can be reached at 80% -95%.

But another thing is that the Ukraine-Russia war and economic reforms are some of the negative factors that can hinder the way of tourism development in Europe and the Middle East.

But the past year has also seen a positive sign of growth in tourist arrivals in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, which may very soon be nearing pre-pandemic rates. And the Asia pacific regions are facing bad years, the region got only 23 % of pre-pandemic tourists. The policy effectively shut China out of the global tourism economy for most of 2022.

But this Chinese absence in the market tourism dragged the global recovery for many areas, and many tourism leaders agree with this statement.

Now China is relaxing its policy and the Asia Pacific and the world have taken an important step towards improving tourism. Though UNWTO said they are planning to make ways to develop tourism. Chinese more than 32 destinations are blocked for travel, and the US requires Chinese tourists to test negative for Covid. Of this, the routh for Europe and middle east seems easier to visit. Another reason for developing tourism in Europe and the middle east is because Euro is weaker than Dollar, so cheap yet the best nature will attract tourists.

So, the upcoming days are going to be brighter for Europe and the Middle East in the sector of tourism, which will boost the economy.
