New adventure sports brand introduced by Red Sea Global
The developer of The Red Sea and Amaala,
Red Sea Global, has introduced Akun, a new adventure sports brand that will
provide distinctive experiences for visitors to RSG venues.
According to Red Sea Global Group CEO
John Pagano, "We believe the experiences available for our guests are just
as important as the destination itself."
"Akun will offer a diverse range of
'bucket-list' adventures set in, over, and throughout breath-taking sea and
landscapes, and each builds on the exciting sense of exploration we nurture at
our destinations," continued Pagano.
The brand will run and oversee adventure
and sports activities at RSG venues like gravel, mountain, fat-tire, and
electric biking, trail running, and hiking along various natural trails. There
will also be a selection of action sports for both beginners and experts,
including climbing and scrambling.
Along with creating cultural and
conservation paths and presenting the history of these ancient sites, Akun will
also be closely associated with the local populations in each destination.
One of the many RSG-owned subsidiary
companies that will support its advancements is the brand.
In February, WAMA, which provides water
sports activities, and Galaxea, which provides diving experiences, were
introduced as the company's first two subsidiary companies.
Before our first visitors arrive at The
Red Sea this year, we can now offer a full trio package of sporting experiences
thanks to the combination of WAMA and Galaxea, our water sports and diving
brands.
The operators Bungy New Zealand and Air
Sports Group, who will both evaluate the immense potential for adventure
tourism at RSG venues, and Akun have already inked two initial partnership
agreements.
In order to assess the potential for air
sports in Amaala and the Red Sea, including activities like skydiving,
paragliding, paramotoring, and hot air ballooning, Air Sports Group will carry
out a 13-week on-site technical evaluation.
This year will see the debut of three Red
Sea resorts as well as the opening of the first section of the Red Sea
International Airport, which will serve domestic flights. The location will
have 50 resorts with up to 8,000 hotel rooms and more than 1,000 residential
buildings when it is finished in 2030, distributed across 22 islands and six inland
regions.
