Elon Musk's private jet landed in China

Tech billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the CTO of Twitter, is in the limelight once again. Elon Musk's private jet landed in the People’s Republic of China on Tuesday.

According to Reuters, Musk landed in Beijing, the capital of China, on a private plane. On his first trip to China in three years, reports claimed that the Tesla CEO would meet with top Chinese authorities and visit the Tesla plant in Shanghai, China’s biggest city and a global financial hub.

According to ADS-B Exchange, a flight aggregation website, Musk's private aircraft, a 2015 Gulfstream G650ER, was spotted in Alaska, a U.S. state on the northwest extremity of North America, on Tuesday. Musk’s plane was seen taking off from Alaska in the morning, before flying across Japan and South Korea.

According to Reuters, Musk’s private jet with its distinctive tail number was seen at Beijing Capital International Airport in China on Tuesday. However, it is still not confirmed if Musk was present at the jet.

Tesla plant in Shanghai, China, is the electric car maker's largest production hub. China is also the second-largest market for Tesla’s car.

After purchasing Twitter in October 2022, Elon Musk has been in the limelight. Recently, he apologised to Twitter users who complained of the micro-blogging app taking up extra space on their mobile phones. He wrote on Twitter, “Sorry this app takes up so much space.”

Recently, his startup Neuralink also received approval from the United States (US) regulators to test its brain implants in human beings.

Earlier this month, Musk named Linda Yaccarino as the new Twitter CEO. He also said that he would continue to act as the CTO of Twitter.

Musk aims to make Twitter the ‘everything app’. He has also announced launching long-form text to hours-long videos for Twitter.
