SEHA hospitals to host Cardiovascular Disease Conference

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel have partnered with Corniche Hospital and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), two of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company's (SEHA), the largest healthcare network in the UAE, to host the first International Middle East Fetal-Neonatal Cardiovascular Disease Conference. H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan is the conference's patron, and the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DOH), the conference's strategic partner, is a working partner.

Leading local and worldwide professionals will gather to discuss the most recent standards and developments in foetal and neonatal cardiovascular care on October 28 and 29, 2022, at the Rosewood Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Saeed Jaber Al Kuwaiti, Group CEO of SEHA, provided additional details, stating that "prenatal and neonatal cardiovascular care is a unique specialty and represents the more collaborative component of medicine, covering numerous medical disciplines.

Due to the multispecialty character of the industry, this conference will feature a diverse range of specialists and interesting subject matter. The number of children in the Middle East has recently increased, which has led to a greater emphasis on prenatal, baby, and paediatric healthcare as well as an increase in government spending in the area.”

The SEHA is dedicated to providing top-notch medical care using cutting-edge procedures and technologies. For their assistance in planning this conference, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel are both recipients of our sincere gratitude.

The two-day conference will cover a wide range of subjects, including the genetics of heart disease, foetal and new-born imaging, reviews of particular foetal cardiovascular conditions, obstetrical and maternal care, cutting-edge foetal therapies, treatment of newborns with congenital heart disease, including catheter and surgical interventions, as well as the social implications and long-term effects of congenital heart disease in the Middle East.

According to Ruth Frey, vice president of global strategy and business development at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, "this conference will support collaboration among experts from the United States, Israel, and the Arab world who are committed to offering the best paediatric healthcare worldwide." "We are grateful to be a part of this occasion and anticipate that the strategy will provide better results."
