Did Johnny Depp’s Legal Team Accuse Amber Heard Of Killing Her Best Friend

Did Johnny Depp’s legal team accuse American actress Amber Heard of killing her best friend? Months after the high-profile defamation case, reports have emerged that Heard killed her best friend when she was a teenager. What’s the real story?

Reportedly, Heard lost her best friend to a fatal car accident when she was 16 years old. Recently, claims came that Heard was arrested for her involvement in a car accident when her friend died.

According to The News International, Johnny Depp’s legal team accused Heard of killing her best friend while driving a car with a suspended license. Reportedly, Depp also spoke to Whitney Henriquez, the sister of Amber Heard, about the case. However, recent papers have dismissed all claims. The unsealed court documents stated that Heard was not responsible for the tragic incident. The documents read, “Depp also cross-examined Henriquez, suggesting her sister was driving the vehicle at the time of the tragic death of Heard’s close friend Logan when they were both teenagers.” The documents said that Heard was out of the country when the incident took place and was sad when she came to know about her best friend’s demise.

Hollywood actor Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Heard's trial became one of the sensational news of the year. The defamation trial ended in June, with the Virginia court ordering Heard to pay USD 10 million in compensatory damages and USD 5 million in punitive damages to her ex-husband.

When Heard lost the defamation trial, her legal team said that she was unaware of the headline of her article. Heard requested the court for a new trial. However, the court rejected Heard's demand for a new trial.

Depp sued Heard for defamation over a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post, where she said that she was a survivor of domestic violence. Depp’s name wasn’t mentioned in the op-ed, however, Depp’s lawyers said the article falsely implied that she was sexually and physically abused by Depp in their marriage.
