Saudi Arabia sends 35 tons of aid to Syria’s Aleppo

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has sent 35 tons of aid to Syria to help earthquake victims in the country. A Saudi plane, carrying 35 tons of aid, landed at the Aleppo International Airport in Syria on Tuesday

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the 35 tons of aid includes food, medical and shelter materials for earthquake victims. The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid built the Saudi relief air bridge to help those affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey. The aid comes in the framework of the Saudi’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of people affected by the destructive earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Saudi Arabia has sent eight planes with relief aid to help those affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, according to SPA.

Earlier, two Saudi planes carrying search and rescue teams and equipment, including tools, pumps, and medical supplies, landed at the Gaziantep airport in Turkey to help people affected by the earthquake. Saudi Arabia sent food items, tents, blankets, rugs, shelter bags and medical supplies to Turkey.

Under the guidance of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, the Saudi search-and-rescue teams were sent to earthquake-hit areas in Turkey and Syria in order to evacuate citizens.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center also launched a fundraising campaign to help earthquake victims. The center would collect money and receive donations from people to provide shelter, food and treatment to those affected by the earthquake.

Last week, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman directed KSrelief to operate an air bridge for helping the victims of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake.

They also offered their condolences to people in Turkey and Syria. They pledged to offer full support to Turkey and Syria in order to mitigate the suffering of people.
