Are Syrian Victims Being Ignored, in Turkey-Syria Earthquake?

That was the time of 1:25 according to the UK time zone. The whole of Turkey was in sorrow and screams, people were crying “My home has gone”, and all walls of the flats were destroyed. There was an earthquake.

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and northwestern Syria, claiming many lives and homes. I was looking at the photos and news bulletins that were updated about the dead, I said more than 7,000, and more than 5,600 buildings were demolished.

It took me a long time to believe the pictures and news coming out of Turkey and Syria. Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis, Idlib, and Aleppo were also affected by this.

The rescue of the breath remains!

I saw the rescue operation began on Monday but people who were in Hatay had not received any equipment until Tuesday morning.

Though the rescue operations have saved many lives by pulling them from the rubble. But the images say that many more are trapped under collapsed buildings and they are waiting for help.

White Helmets are actively working to save breathe in Syria. NGOs, and the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations are also working to help people.

Syrian American Medical Society and Molham Team are also working on rescue operations.

But the Turkish border crossing at Bab al-Hawa, Syria's lifeline, has been closed. Because of threats and difficulties in prediction.

Aleppo and Hama in Syria are also in bad condition because the regions are under the control of the opposition.

Though the epicenter was in southern Turkey north-western Syria is affected more badly. It has been badly weakened since the 2011 war, with opposition-controlled areas bearing the brunt of atrocities.

Syria is fighting with many bad like internal political wars, allegations of war crimes, chemical weapons, etc. The country is near poverty now this earthquake will only exacerbate these challenges among the Syrian people.

The international community should come forward to help Syria, and NGO human right activist should come for the lives and people of Syria!
