House Impeachment Committee Finds Trump Guilty Of Malpractice
The House Impeachment Committee has finally found Mr. Donald Trump guilty of misusing his office power to influence a foreign government head for personal gains and also solicited foreign election interference.
The only variance could be in the fact that the committee is a Democratic-led one that has now approved a special intelligence report alleging president engaged in misconduct, obstruction for personal gain.
Further, the report also states how Trump withheld an invitation to the White House and important military aid to the Ukrainian government, on the condition the Ukrainian President would adhere to his request to put an investigation into action against his rival Joe Biden contesting the 2020 US Elections.
The military aid which would have helped Ukraine bolster its regional position against Russia was unanimously approved by both houses. While the report states that it could not find any compelling evidence for Ukraine’s involvement in influencing the outcome of the 2016 US elections, it does prove that Russia was the mastermind at work, and has been systematically pushing the focus and blame of its actions on Ukraine.
The report received voting approval hours before it was circulated to the Intelligence Committee. The report further alleges Mr. Trump of having “engaged in categorical and unprecedented obstruction in order to cover up his misconduct.”
The approval of the report is an important step before the Judiciary committee starts its proceedings this week. If the committee proves the allegations against Mr. Trump to be true, the current President of the United States would have to face a trial in the senate. However, political critics have their doubts over the Republican-led Judiciary committee would ever let Trump lose his office.
In fact, the official White House spokespersons Stephanie Grisham has called the Democratic-led probe as “baseless and lacking any evidence that Mr. Trump had influenced Ukraine into anything at all.”
However, the 300-page report digs deeper into Mr. Trump’s closest office bearers being involved in malpractice and deals of personal gain with the Ukrainian counterparts. For one, Rudolph Giuliani has been implicated in doing several deals with natural gas and oil companies and government officials under the umbrella of White House representation and did not disclose his side business all that time. His associates have also been implicated and are being tried for obstruction of justice, malpractice, and dubious dealings.
