Britain Choose Johnson Over Corbyn
Despite Corbyn’s words about Johnson’s intent for corruption, Boris Johnson has secured a victory in the early elections that finished yesterday in Britain. The decision and preference of the public have been spelled out clearly. Indeed the Conservative Leader could bring through a big win with the Conservatives winning majority seats, sweeping aside Labour strongholds across northern England, the Midlands, and Wales in areas which backed Brexit in the 2016 referendum.
Now, Corbyn is not interested in leading the party’s next campaign. The defeat has been too bitter this time, and as poll results show the worst since 1935. The party could secure only 203 seats amongst the 650 seats. Conservatives have secured 364 seats as of today.
History has been made, as Labour dominant regions will see Conservative MPs this time. These include constituencies such as Darlington, Sedgefield, and Workington, in the north of England. Even new places where the seat has been put in for the first time have been secured by Conservatives. These include Bishop Auckland and Blyth Valley.
The country is extremely serious about a decision over the Brexit and this is shown by the way they have voted for the Conservatives, a strong majority that was not seen since the election of Margaret Thatcher’s third election win in 1987.
Mr. Corbyn still feels the crowds are being misled. In his post polling speech, he said that Labour was only trying to put forward a "manifesto of hope" and didn’t mince his words when he said that the "way the media behaved" towards his party during the campaign was disappointing and reeked of favoritism.
Britain wants the Brexit and Johnson has promised to get it done, without an extension in the deadline.
