Lebanon government grows more intolerant towards Hezbollah

It is no longer hidden that the rebel group Hezebollah holds a lot of power in Lebanon. Even with the situation of crisis that the nation is in, Hezbollah has come to the forefront to offer its help. But international organizations are surely not liking this interference leading them to drift away from the country.

The Lebanese government was always heavily influenced by the Hezbollah leaders but this time, it kept the matter on the administrative level and did not include the militia group as an external agent.

This was specifically noticeable when the Lebanese President Michel Aoun himself talked about the failure of the cabinet to restart the process and judicial work  due to excessive involvement of Hezbollah. This is leading to widening rifts between the two sides.

It is evident that the issue is serious as Aoun is a very open ally of Hezebollah but when he himself is questioning the kind of differences the two sides are having, the issue will not take time to accelerate further.

Major issue is regarding the international support that Lebanon can get but is not able to get due to Hezebollah and its connection with Iran. The United States is already at odds with Iran and when Hezebollah is bringing Iran into the equation, things are going terribly wrong with it.

The cabinet is in complete disagreement of Hezebollah’s interference in the national matters but due to Aoun, they have to time and again compromise on their demands. This is also leading to Arab countries drifting away from Lebanon despite showing great possibility.
