Middle East and North Africa are ranked as east peaceful regions. Here’s why.

Middle East and North Africa also known as MENA are a region of unrest for the past several years and now for the sixth consecutive time, the region has been ranked as the least peaceful region in a study conducted by an Australian think tank, Institute of Economics and Peace.
In the middle east, minus the corona time, there has been a situation of unrest among people for years now and every month people were seen on streets demanding for their basic survival rights. Lebanon, Iraq and Iran saw massive protests till the of last year. 60% of the population in the Middle East is under 30 and they are the ones who have seen their people suffer and now are demanding for change. The young population now wants to normalize the presence of each community and not just accept them being there. The idea of protest goes way beyond the system. In Lebanon, protests were carried out in a much safer way than Iraq and Iran where hundreds of people were killed last year.
The report of the Australian Institute said, “Since protests erupted across the country in October 2019, Iraq has had more than 700 fatalities and thousands of severe injuries as a result of clashes between anti-government protesters and security forces.”
Syria and Yemen have been two of the most unfortunate countries in these times. Middle eastern countries using Syria and Yemen to accomplishtheir pseudo power through proxy wars have destroyed the very existence of these nations.
North African country, Sudan is in a much worse state. People are given guns in the name of rights, children are asked to fight on the borders instead of them going to school. There is no order in Sudan. In April last year, Omar al-Vashir was ousted making people but only to realize an military will taking over for no less than two years. Soon demand for another government started and sufferings continued.
It is not like any country is perfect or no one has any problem with the system or governance but the scale of these protests that are seen, it showed frustration more than them claiming their rights. Frustration that they kept inside for years and finally it came out. They are not happy with how they are in the middle of two countries who are blood thirsty for each other or with a government which is ruling them for over 30 years. Their frustration is now on streets and that has led to violent revert attacks. These voices couldn’t be silenced just by telling them to do so or warning them... so the powerful chose to silence them by killing them turning their countries into the most dangerous nations.
