US remains stern on Iran, sanctions 5 ship captains bringing oil to Venezuela

The United States keeps the stern front intact as it sanctions five Iranian ship captains importing oil in Venezuela. In the move, which was reaffirmed by secretary of the state Mike Pompeo, the US continues to back the opposition leader Juan Guaido.

According to a report in Reuters, Pompeo said, "As a result of today's sanctions, these captains' assets will be blocked. Their careers and prospects will suffer from this designation. Mariners who are considering work with Iran and Venezuela should understand that aiding these oppressive regimes is simply not worth the risk."

The Superpower had already made it clear through the impositions that they want to ouster thevenezuelan President Nicolus Maduro and it had previously warned mariners of doing business with the Venezuelan government and with the deed done otherwise of the warning, captains’ position have been suffered.

Some of the US officials have said that Trump still has confidence in Guaido, even though there is not much in his favor at the moment, as he still believes starving the country of the basic needs will bring it down to governance and probably lead to a change in the power.
What is more frustrating for the Trump government is that Maduro, 57, holds on to the power despite all the tactics of the US.

Iran on the other hand has been trying to somehow fix the paralyzed economy of the country and using the abundant resource to its best at these crucial times. Earlier this year, the US had imposed new sanctions and their new target was the metal industries in Iran. These sanctions have left people visioning their dark future and wondering what comes after this.

Iran is already suffering heavily due to the deep impact of coronavirus. Iran reported its highest number of daily coronavirus infections in two months.Iran had begun to relax the lockdown measures in the month of April which led to further loosening up on the preventive measures. Even after the Trump govt refusing to relax the sanctions during the time of the health crisis, Iran has shown neglect to a lot of extent. Experts have claimed that a second wave of corna will soon hit Iran and will weaken the structure of the country even more.
