In a significant diplomatic engagement, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, met with his Sri Lankan counterpart, Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath, in Colombo. The high-level meeting underscores the deepening of relations between the UAE and Sri Lanka, with both nations reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation across various sectors.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in trade, investment, energy, tourism, and education.
