Jacqueline Fernandez sued for Rs 200 crores by actor Nora Fatehi

 

Actress Nora Fatehi of Bollywood has launched a lawsuit against Jacqueline Fernandez and 15 media outlets for Ms Fernandez's slanderous comments. She charged that the media outlets had continued "carrying forward and spreading" the comments. Ms Fatehi went on to say that the media outlets and the actor she claimed to be her competition "were acting in connivance with each other."

In the petition submitted through her attorney, she claims that "a conspiracy by the Accused No. 1 was planned and enacted to assure the financial, social, and personal collapse of the complainant."

The remark in question is related to the central agencies' ongoing investigation into the 200 crore extortion case, in which con artist Sukesh Chandrashekhar is the key defendant. Since it was discovered that Ms Fernandez received pricey gifts from the con artist, she has been designated as an accused in the case and both actors have been called to testify. Sukesh has also given Ms Fatehi gifts.

Jacqueline Fernandez had previously argued before the Appellate Authority of the Prevention of MoneyLaundering Act, or PMLA, that it is surprising that some other celebrities, most notably Norah Fatehi, were also taken advantage of by Sukesh Chandrashekhar in the case, even though they have been called as witnesses.

In its supplemental charge sheet submitted to a Delhi court in the extortion case brought against con artist Sukesh, the ED included Jacqueline Fernandez as an accused.

Her name was not listed as an accused in the earlier charge sheet from the ED, but it did include information about the statement that Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez made in relation to the case.

The ED claims that on October 20, 2021, Sukesh was questioned by Ms Fernandez, who admitted that he had frequently scheduled her hotel stays and private jet travels.

According to Nora Fatehi's statements, which were recorded on September 13 and October 14, 2021, she said that she had been hired for a charity event and that Sukesh's wife Leena Paulose had given her an iPhone and a Gucci bag as gifts.

Leena Paulose contacted her and her husband, according to Nora Fatehi, who also said that he thanked her and acknowledged their fandom. He also put the phone on speaker. She then said that as a sign of their affection, they would give her a brand-new BMW car.
